Napoli to consider Zuniga sale

Italian daily newspaper Il Mattino has suggested that Napoli are prepared to offload full-back Juan Camilo Zuniga in the January window.

The Azzurri officials have clashed with the Colombian defender regarding the treatment of his knee injury, given that while Zuniga hopes to undergo a surgery, the club do not think such a procedure is required.

And taking also into account that Napoli have not been too impressed with the defender’s latest performances, they are ready to listen to offers in the winter.

Zuniga was previously heavily linked with a move to Camp Nou, but with the Catalans signing Brazilian Douglas, they may not be interested any more.

Even so, the 28-year-old should have no shortage of suitors having played at a very high level for club and country over the last few years.

After missing a last-gasp penalty to draw with Atalanta, Napoli are available at 7/5 to defeat Roma at Stadio San Paolo.
