Napoli eager to sign Davy Klaassen

Italian giants Napoli have made Ajax playmaker Davy Klaassen their number one target in the summer transfer window, Il Corriere dello Sport has learned.

The Azzurri have been largely impressed with the Netherlands international, who has been one of club’s star performers for several years now.

As a result, Napoli are determined to bring him to Stadio San Paolo at the end of the current season, and it is believed that Ajax would consider offers in the region of €15 million.

The problem is that the player himself is not too keen on leaving the Amsterdam ArenA outfit, but the Azzurri will do everything in their power to make him change his mind.

Davy Klaassen, 23, got his big break when Christian Eriksen was sold to Tottenham and he has so far managed 30 goals and 20 assists in just 93 Eredivisie appearances, while earning 5 caps for the Netherlands national team.
