Napoli enter race for Chong

According to a recent report from Tuttosport, Napoli have entered themselves into the race to try and sign Manchester United youngster Tahith Chong. It’s been well documented that Chong could be on the verge of a move away from Old Trafford, and especially a move to Italy – although, it was Juventus and not Napoli that have been pursuing the signing. 

Now that Napoli are in the mix, though, things could get quite interesting. Chong has performed well in a handful of games so far this season for United whenever he’s been given the opportunity to do so, and while he’s still a little bit green, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would almost certainly rather have him playing for United as opposed to against them somewhere down the line. 

It’s often difficult to know how and when a player is going to burst into life, but when it comes to Chong, he has all of the essentials necessary to make it at the highest level. Whether or not that ‘prophecy’ comes to fruition, though, is a different matter altogether.
