Napoli are interested in signing Atletico Madrid star Pablo Barrios, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that Napoli head coach Antonio Conte is a fan of Barrios and is keen on securing the services of the midfielder. Atletico, though, want to keep hold of the Spaniard.
Barrios has been on the books of Atletico since 2017 after leaving Real Madrid. The 21-year-old rose through the ranks at Atletico to establish himself in the first team of the former La Liga champions. The Spain Under-23 international midfielder has made three starts and one substitute appearance in La Liga so far this season, providing one assist in the process.
The Spaniard made 17 starts and seven substitute appearances in La Liga for Atletico last season. He gave one assist in those games. Atletico are aiming to win La Liga this season and will also be keen on going far in the UEFA Champions League.
