Partenopei striker Arkadiusz Milik has been struck with yet another injury to his right knee with the latest ACL problem occurring during his team’s 3-2 victory over SPAL.
The initial tests indicate towards the anterior cruciate ligament tear which is the same problem he sustained in his left knee a year ago. With Arkadiusz Milik set for another lengthy spell on the sidelines, Napoli are making plans to replace the 23-year-old Polish striker.
The summer transfer window might be shut but Napoli are allowed to pounce for a free agent in order to find backup for their injured star.
Two players are already being mentioned as possible solution.
The 35-year-old Italian forward Alberto Gilardino dropped a hint that he would be more than willing to help out whereas Napoli could also make a move for Giuseppe Rossi or Antonio Cassano.
However, a move for Roberto Inglese seems more likely.
The 25-year-old Chievo forward was bought this summer for €10 million but was left on loan at Bentegodi and could be recalled six months ahead of schedule to fill in for the Polish forward.
