Napoli are set to challenge Juventus for the signature of Pescara striker Gianluca Lapadula, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Azzurri look set to narrowly miss out on the league title in spite of some impressive performances and they will be very motivated to try and make things right next term.
As a result, they are already in the market for summer reinforcements and it appears Napoli will do some shopping in Serie B.
Namely, the Azzurri could make a move on Pescara hotshot Gianluca Lapadula, who is also believed to be on Juventus radar.
The 26-year-old leads the goalscoring charts in Serie B with 21 goals in 33 league appearances and he is almost certain to join a top Italian club in the summer.
Born to a Peruvian mother, Lapadula is seriously thinking of accepting a call from Peru national team and he is tipped to represent La Blanquirroja at the 2016 Copa America Centenario.
