Il Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Sampdoria star Manolo Gabbiadini has emerged as a January target for Napoli.
With Jose Callejon being linked with a move away from Stadio San Paolo and Lorenzo Insigne expected to miss the rest of the season through injury, the Azzurri are in the market for attacking reinforcements.
Napoli officials are currently looking at a host of quality attackers, and Manolo Gabbiadini appears to be the latest player on their hit-list.
The Italy international has largely impressed since joining Sampdoria, and the fact he can operate in just about any position in attack makes him a perfect target for the Azzurri.
Sampdoria are reportedly not interesting in selling their prized asset, but Napoli could test their resolve with a January bid.
The Azzurri will have a perfect opportunity to make a check on the talented forward when they face the Bluecercchiati at Marassi, with away win paying 6/5.
