Serie A outfit Napoli are looking at a number of high-profile players as they look to reinforce their midfield department, Il Corriere dello Sport has revealed.
And with talks for Manchester United’s Marouane Fellaini producing no results, the Azzurri have turned to other targets.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Napoli could make a move on Sampdoria starlet Pedro Obiang, who should be available for some €6m to €7m.
At the same time, boss Rafael Benitez is casting admiring glances towards Swansea star Jonathan De Guzman, while Lucas Leiva and Moussa Dembele are also on his radar.
With Valon Behrami leaving and Blerim Dzemaili expected to follow, Napoli are in desperate need of midfield reinforcements, but they need to act quickly if they want to be ready for the new season.
After finishing third in Serie A last term, the Azzurri are available at 4/5 to achieve a top 3 finish in the 2014/2015 campaign.
