Serie A giants Napoli have been showing interest in Lucas Leiva and Michu, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Azzurri have yet to sign a new holding midfielder and following several failed attempts, they look set to turn their attention towards Liverpool footballer Lucas Leiva.
Rafael Benitez worked with the Brazilian during his time at Anfield and the Spaniard believes the midfielder would be a good addition to the squad at Stadio San Paolo.
The 27-year-old is no longer considered a first team regular at Liverpool and he could be interested in a change of scenery.
At the same time, Napoli are keeping close tabs on Swansea forward Michu, who is being heavily linked with a move away from Liberty Stadium.
The Azzurri hope to sign the Spaniard on a season-long loan, while they would be prepared to make the transfer permanent for €8 million at the end of the 2014/2015 campaign.
