Serie A giants Napoli are hot on the trail of Real Madrid starlet Jese Rodriguez, according to Sport.
The Azzurri were alerted of the player’s desire to leave los Blancos and they seem ready to try and take advantage of the situation.
Namely, Jese has seen little playing time since the arrival of Rafael Benitez and the new boss is not satisfied with the forward’s performance in training.
Therefore, there is a good chance that the 22-year-old will part ways with Real Madrid in the January transfer window.
Napoli officials are expected to try and lure the Spain Under-21 international to Stadio San Paolo, where he would be reunited with Gonzalo Higuain.
Jese had shown a great deal of promise at Santiago Bernabeu before suffering a serious knee injury and he currently has 8 goals in just 9 La Liga starts.
But, having fallen behind Lucas Vazquez and Denis Cheryshev in the pecking order, Jese looks likely to leave in the winter.
