According to a recent report from Marca, Napoli have entered into the race to sign Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez. The Colombian has just ended his two year loan spell at Bayern Munich, and has been heavily linked with a switch to Juventus in the last few weeks. However, Napoli are now entering the race, and he could be a key factor in the potential move. Why? Because their manager Carlo Ancelotti was the Real Madrid manager when James made his switch over to the Bernabeu. We don’t know whether or not that’s going to be seen as a good thing or a bad thing by James, but either way, it’s worth taking into consideration.
Rodriguez is still a high level player but just hasn’t seemed to find the club that suits his style just yet. Perhaps testing out Italian football will be exactly what he needs at this point of his career.
