Il Corriere dello Sport has learned that Napoli are weighing up an ambitious swoop for Milan starlet Stephan El Shaarawy.
The Azzurri chairman Aurelio de Laurentiis is determined to build on club’s recent success and is ready to allocate significant transfer funds to new manager Rafael Benitez.
Signing a true world-class player would be a testament of club’s ambition and De Laurentiis believes Milan forward Stephan El Shaarawy can be that flagship signing.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the Azzurri are ready to offer €30 million plus Blerim Dzemaili, who is valued highly by the Rossoneri officials.
Stephan El Shaarawy is currently happy at San Siro, but he has largely suffered from the arrival of Mario Balotelli, who has quickly become a main reference in attack.
The 20-year-old could, therefore, be interested in a move to Napoli, where he would be considered a key attacker when Edinson Cavani leaves the club.
