Italian giants Napoli are readying another assault on Benfica full-back Alex Grimaldo, according to Record.
With starting left-back Faouzi Ghoulam increasingly likely to leave the club at the end of the season, the Azzurri have started searching for his replacement.
It is no secret that Benfica defender Grimaldo is high on their wish list and Napoli seem to be prepared to step up their interest.
The only problem is that the Spaniard has a €60 million release clause in his contract, and the Eagles do not seem willing to lower their asking price.
It remains to be seen whether the Azzurri will be able to find an agreement with the Portuguese giants, whereas few other top clubs could join the race, considering that Juventus, Man City and Man Utd are keen as well.
Alex Grimaldo only recently returned from a lengthy spell on the sidelines, and he has so far scored 2 goals in 11 Primeira Liga matches.
