Radio Crc is reporting that Napoli have tabled a new proposal for Benfica full-back Alex Grimaldo.
The Azzurri decided to step up their interest in the Spanish defender after starting left-back Faouzi Ghoulam suffered a serious injury.
Napoli already had a €20 million bid rejected for Grimaldo, but Radio Crc has learned they have now offered €25 million for the 22-year-old.
According to reports, Benfica are holding out for €30 million, so it remains to be seen whether the two clubs will eventually reach an agreement.
The Eagles signed Grimaldo on a cut-price deal from Barcelona in January 2016 and now get a chance to make a serious profit on the full-back.
