German media outlet Bild understands that Serie A high-flyers Napoli are set to make a move on veteran striker Miroslav Klose.
The 38-year-old has been a free agent since leaving Lazio in the summer and despite being linked with a Bundesliga return, he could very well remain in Italy.
Namely, the Azzurri are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements after star striker Arkadiusz Milik suffered a knee injury that could see him miss around six months of action.
And with Manolo Gabbiadini the only fit senior striker in the squad, Napoli could offer a contract to Miroslav Klose.
The Azzurri believe the German forward still has what it takes to compete at the highest level and there are no doubts that his experience would be an asset to the club.
Miroslav Klose has enjoyed plenty of success in Italy, making 205 competitive appearances for Lazio and scoring 77 goals.
