Napoli are the latest Serie A club to have joined the chase for River Plate starlet Emanuel Mammana, Il Corriere dello Sport can reveal.
After Fiorentina and AC Milan both attempted to lure the talented centre-back to Italy, it is now Napoli’s turn.
The Azzurri have held initial talks with the youngster’s representatives and were informed that Mammana was interested in moving to Stadio San Paolo.
Nevertheless, it remains to be seen whether Napoli officials will be able to agree on a transfer fee with River Plate ahead of the summer transfer window.
At the same time, the Azzurri are ready to reignite their interest in long-term target Andre Gomes, who has been on club’s radar for quite a while.
Everybody at Stadio San Paolo has been impressed with the Portuguese playmaker and Napoli look set to make an ambitious move for the Valencia hotshot at the end of the current campaign.
