Napoli interested in Berge

According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli are still very interested in trying to sign Sheffield United midfielder Sander Berge.

The belief is that the Norwegian is still invested in leaving the Blades despite the trail going cold lately.

They are said to be around €4 million apart in their valuation as of this writing but with Sheffield United being in the Championship after their relegation last season, they may be desperate enough that they agree to a lower figure.

Berge is a wanted man with several top clubs wanting to sign him, including a few in the Premier League.

Alas, the allure of a team like Napoli coming into the mix may be too much for him to turn down – which is understandable given their stature in the Italian game.

Whether or not that translates into consistent success, of course, remains to be seen, but it makes sense for Berge to want to be a part of it.
