Napoli are interested in signing James Rodriguez, according to AS.
The Colombian spent two seasons on loan at Bayern Munich from Real Madrid, and as time goes by, it’s looking increasingly unlikely that the Bavarians will take up the option of signing him permanently for €42 million that was included in the deal. Real head coach Zinedine Zidane, during whose first reign at the club was James shipped out, reportedly still has no place for the player in his plans and the club are open to offers for his services.
The availability of a player of such quality has naturally attracted the interests of a number of top clubs, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Juvenuts among others, but now Napoli have also entered the fray. AS quote Italian journalist Stefano Agresti who apparently said that James is the type of player coach Carlo Ancelotti is looking for to boost his already formidable team and turn them into proper contenders for the Serie A title.
Agresti also believes that the playmaker would be attracted to the idea of working with the Italian tactician again.
