Spanish newspaper Estadio Deportivo has learned that Napoli are the latest club to have joined the race for Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo.
The highly rated forward is counting his final days at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan and it only remains to be seen where he is going to end up.
A number of Europe’s top clubs are believed to be keen on Negredo, with the player reportedly leaning towards a move to Atletico Madrid.
However, Estadio Deportivo now reports that new Napoli boss Rafael Benitez is looking to lure the striker to Stadio San Paolo.
Given that star striker Edinson Cavani is almost certain to leave the Azzurri, the Spanish coach is convinced Negredo would be a decent replacement.
Alvaro Negredo, 27, is widely recognized as one of Europe’s most prolific goalscorers and he has scored a total of 99 goals in 207 La Liga appearances for Almeria and Sevilla.
