Napoli join chase for Rui Patricio

Serie A high-flyers Napoli are keeping close tabs on Sporting CP goalkeeper Rui Patricio, according to A Bola.

The Azzurri have long been in the market for a new shot-stopper, and the Portuguese footballer is one of the first names on their hit-list.

Having learned that PSG could submit an official proposal for veteran Pep Reina, Napoli officials have decided to step up their interest in Patricio.

Sporting CP are not too keen on selling their prized asset, but they are aware he could soon decide to look for a new challenge.

Patricio currently has a contract until June 2022 at Estadio Jose Alvalade that includes a €45 million release clause.
