Genoa superstar striker Krzysztof Piatek is attracting plenty of attention thanks to his stellar start to the 2018/19 season.
The in-form striker bagged nine goals in only seven appearances for the Serie A outfit, turning the heads of Europe’s top clubs.
The likes of Chelsea, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Juventus – to only name the few – have been credited with an interest in the 23-year-old Poland international but the latest information coming from Italy claim that Napoli have also joined the chase.
Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has already held talks with Genoa president Enrico Preziosi, discussing a possibility of grabbing the talented forward during the January transfer window.
De Laurentiis confirmed he talked to his Genoa counterpart but refused to burn any bridges with Enrico Preziosi by claiming his club will respect Genoa’s wishes.
“I spoke to Preziosi but we don’t want to participate in any bidding wars,” he told Sky Italia.
Piatek only moved to Genoa this summer from Cracovia but went on to made an instant impression with his impressive goalscoring exploits.
