Sporting Lisbon full-back Cedric Soares has emerged as a target for Italian giants Napoli, O Jogo has learned.
The Azzurri are in the market for a right-sided defender, which is hardly surprising given that both Christian Maggio and Giandomenico Mesto will be out of contract in the summer.
And Portuguese media outlet O Jogo understands that Sporting’s Cedric Soares is one of the three players the Serie A side are currently looking at.
The German-born defender has been heavily linked with a summer move to German Bundesliga, where Bayer Leverkusen, Schalke and few more top sides are showing interest.
However, with Napoli also casting admiring glances his way, the 23-year-old will probably have an important decision to make in the summer.
Cedric Soares, who has just over a year left on his contract at Estadio Jose Alvalade, has played himself into the first team plans of Portugal coach Fernando Santos and started the Euro 2016 qualifier against Denmark last October.
