Il Corriere dello Sport understands that Napoli are keeping close tabs on Torino full-back Matteo Darmian.
Given that Camilo Zuniga is out injured and Faouzi Ghoulam will be unavailable in January as he takes part at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, the Azzurri are widely tipped to sign at least another wing back.
And while they remain keen on Real Madrid’s Alvaro Arbeloa, Napoli are also eyeing Matteo Darmian, another high-quality defender who can operate on either side of the pitch.
The problem is that Darmian’s suitors include virtually every single top club in Italy, but the Azzurri seem ready to enter the bidding war for the Italy international.
Having spent last three and a half years in Turin, the 24-year-old will feel the time has come for him to join a bigger club, especially having established himself as a first team regular for Italy national team of late.
