Sport Mediaset is reporting that Napoli are weighing up January bid for Zenit captain Domenico Criscito.
The Azzurri found themselves in problems as in-form Faouzi Ghoulam suffered a difficult injury, leaving Mario Rui as the only natural left-back in the squad.
And even though right-back Elseid Hysaj has also been used on the left, Napoli plan to recruit another left-sided defender in January.
The Azzurri are now considering a move for Zenit star Domenico Criscito, who will be out of contract at the end of the season.
It is no secret that the former Italy international hopes to return to Serie A and his agent has revealed the 30-year-old has not been offered a new contract by the Russian club.
