Newspaper L’Unione Sarda has revealed that Napoli are weighing up January bid for Cagliari forward Marco Sau.
With Eduardo Vargas expected to leave the club in the winter, the Azzurri are looking to sign another centre forward in the January transfer window.
Boss Walter Mazzarri believes that star striker Edinson Cavani is spending too much time on the pitch this season and hopes to sign him a decent back-up.
According to L’Unione Sarda, the Azzurri are lining up bid for Cagliari striker Marco Sau.
The 24-year-old was finally given a chance to impress at Cagliari, having largely impressed during loan spells at Foggia and Juve Stabia.
Sau has score 4 goals in 9 league games during his first season in Serie A, with Napoli desperate to sign the player before his value increases even further.
Before returning to Cagliari in the summer, Sau scored 21 goals in 36 Serie B games for Juve Stabia.
