Napoli keen on Pazzini
Il Corriere dello Sport has suggested that Napoli could make a summer assault on AC Milan striker Giampaolo Pazzini.
The Azzurri are perfectly happy with first choice forward Gonzalo Higuain, but they are eager to sign another quality striker to deputize for the Argentine when needed.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Napoli hope to lure AC Milan’s Giampaolo Pazzini to Stadio San Paolo.
The highly rated forward has been playing second fiddle to Mario Balotelli at San Siro, but he has impressed every time he was called upon.
After scoring 15 league goals in his first season at the club, Pazzini has only registered one goal in 11 league outings this season, and he could be prepared to consider a move to Napoli.
Having defeated league leaders Juventus last weekend, the Azzurri are 11/8 to defeat Parma on the road and cement the third place in the standings.
Schalke’s Fahrmann on Atletico radar
German newspaper Bild is reporting that Atletico Madrid are considering a summer bid for Schalke goalkeeper Ralf Fahrmann.
Los Colchoneros number one Thibaut Courtois recently revealed that he would make a decision on his future in the coming weeks, but it appears he won’t be staying at Vicente Calderon beyond the current season.
As a result, the La Liga side are on the lookout for a new goalkeeper and Schalke’s Ralf Fahrmann is reportedly high on their wish list.
The talented shot-stopper has seen his stock rise a great deal this season and his stunning form has been one of the main reasons behind team’s recent uptrend in fortunes.
However, with Fahrmann’s current deal due to expire in June 2015, Schalke are aware they will be forced to sell unless the 25-year-old signs a contract extension between now and the end of the season.
The fact the Miners have already identified Fortuna Dusseldorf goalkeeper Fabian Giefer as a potential replacement is enough to suggest Fahrmann could be leaving in the summer.
Werder eyeing Gabbiadini
Werder Bremen are keeping close tabs on Sampdoria forward Manolo Gabbiadini, Bild has learned.
The German giants have turned their attention to Italian Serie A in search of summer reinforcements and they have already identified their targets.
And while Ciro Immobile and Luca Marrone are also on their radar, Werder Bremen are hot on the trail of Sampdoria forward Manolo Gabbiadini.
The player is currently co-owned by Juventus and Sampdoria, but general manager Thomas Eichin believes he can lure him to Weserstadion at the end of the season.
Manolo Gabbiadini, 22, has been in fine form since joining the club in the summer, having scored 8 goals in 29 Serie A fixtures.
His suitors Werder Bremen play host to Schalke on Saturday and they are 11/4 to claim maximum points.
