Diego Simeone’s son, Giovanni Simeone, is reportedly on the radar of Italian giants Napoli, Il Corriere dello Sport can reveal.
The Azzurri are one of the clubs that have been alerted by the player’s performances for River Plate and they are keeping close tabs on the 19-year-old forward.
Giovanni Simeone was born in Madrid while his father represented Atletico, but began his career at River Plate.
Despite his fragile age, the youngster has so far made 21 league appearances for the Argentine giants and scored 2 goals.
Simeone shone in the Last 16 Stage of Copa Sudamericana, scoring two goals in games against Paraguayan Libertad.
The talented forward has also impressed on international level, netting 5 times in 4 appearances for Argentina Under-20 side.
Simeone has another two and a half years left on his deal at Monumental, but it is widely believed River Plate would not be able to resist a big money offer for his services.
