Il Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Napoli are hot on the trail of River Plate midfielder Ezequiel Cirigliano.
The 22-year-old has spent last season on loan at Hellas Verona and the Gialloblu are expected to turn his loan deal into permanent move.
Even with the midfielder yet to realise his full potential, Napoli officials believe he can develop into a high-quality player and they are closely monitoring his situation.
And seeing as how the Azzurri have excellent relations with their Serie A rivals, they should have no problems reaching an agreement with Hellas Verona when they do decide to bring the footballer to Stadio San Paolo.
Napoli plan to allow Cirigliano to spend another campaign in Verona before making a move on him in a year’s time.
Ezequiel Cirigliano has failed to nail down a regular starting berth at Bentegodi in his first season at the club, making a total of 13 Serie A appearances.
