Il Corriere dello Sport has learned that Napoli are showing interest in Cagliari forward Victor Ibarbo.
It is no secret the Azzurri are planning to add a number of high-profile players to their ranks in January, with Luca Antonelli and Maxime Gonalons just some of the footballers heavily linked with a switch to Stadio San Paolo.
However, while Napoli are hoping to offload striker Eduardo Vargas, they plan to replace him with Cagliari’s Victor Ibarbo.
The Colombian has been on club’s radar for quite a while and it appears he is nearing closer to a switch to Naples.
Ibarbo, 23, has continued with fine performances in Serie A, although he has managed just 2 goals in 13 league matches this term.
Nevertheless, he is still held in high regard by Napoli officials and it appears it is only a matter of time before he leaves his current employers for greener pastures.
