Il Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Napoli are showing interest in Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic.
The Croatian footballer has been on the Azzurri’s radar for a couple of years now, although he is not one of their primary targets.
Nevertheless, Napoli officials continue to monitor Kovacic’s performances and they will be ready to make their move in case the player is made available for sale.
The 23-year-old has failed to nail down a regular starting berth at Real Madrid, and he only made two substitute appearances in the league this season.
Kovacic did miss some action through injury, but chances are he will continue to struggle for playing time at Santiago Bernabeu.
