Napoli line up bid for Sanchez; Cole nears Saint Etienne switch

hot-transfer-newsNapoli line up bid for Sanchez

Italian daily La Gazzetta dello Sport has learned that Napoli are considering a bid for Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez.

It is no secret Rafael Benitez is looking to add another forward after signing Gonzalo Higuain from Real Madrid and it looks as though he could make a move on the Chilean.

The Spaniard was hoping to lure Porto’s Jackson Martinez to Stadio San Paolo, but after the Colombian rejected the move, he has turned his attention towards Sanchez.

Napoli have money to spend in the summer transfer window and they believe an offer in the region of €20 million could prove sufficient.

Alexis Sanchez is not really considered an important member of the squad at Camp Nou and there is every chance the Catalans will jump at the opportunity to recoup some of the money invested in the player.

Since arriving at the club in a mega money deal from Udinese, the 24-year-old has netted 19 times in 54 La Liga games.

Cole nears Saint Etienne switch

English forward Carlton Cole is on the verge of agreeing a deal with Saint Etienne, the player’s representative has confirmed.

The former England international has been a free agent since his contract at West Ham ran out in June, and he is currently considering his options.

Ligue 1 side Saint Etienne have surprisingly emerged as the favourites for his signature, with the player’s agent revealing a move to France is a realistic possibility.

“Carlton humbly replied to the invitation of Saint Etienne chiefs,” agent Saif Rubie explained to Le 10 Sport.

“He was given a tour of the facilities. Carlton Cole thanked ASSE for the hospitality he had received.

“The attacker has been convinced by the conversation with the leaders and (head coach) Christophe Galtier.”

Carlton Cole left West Ham after seven years at Boleyn Ground, during which he scored 48 goals in 193 league matches.

Malaga to announce double signing

Malaga CF are on the verge of signing Bartlomiej Pawlowski and Ibrahim Mohamed, reports La Opinion de Malaga.

Los Boquerones have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Polish striker Bartlomiej Pawlowski from Widzev Lodz, with the player currently undergoing a medical in Spain.

The 20-year-old attacker has been showing a lot of potential last season, having scored 8 goals in 32 league games for Warta Poznan and Widzev Lodz.

He is predicted a bright future in the game and looks set to continue his development in one of Europe’s strongest leagues.

Meanwhile, Malaga are also closing in on Zamalek midfielder Ibrahim Mohamed, who is set to be paid less than €500,000.

The 21-year-old has scored 7 goals in 34 league appearances for the club, while earning 4 Egypt caps up to date.

With the club in a very difficult financial situation, Malaga officials are forced to look for bargain deals if they are to rebuild the squad for the upcoming season.
