Serie A giants Napoli are compiling a list of possible replacements for star striker Edinson Cavani, Il Corriere dello Sport has revealed.
The Azzurri are aware they won’t be able to hold on to the Uruguayan for much longer and are preparing themselves for life without Cavani.
Napoli are eager to sign an old-fashioned centre forward, who would be perfect for their 3-4-2-1 formation.
Club officials are currently following a number of players who fit in the mould, with PSV Eindhoven star Ola Toivonen one of the targets.
The Swede is a very versatile player who started his career as a centre forward, but the problem is he has mostly been used as an attacking midfielder of late.
Maribor youngster Robert Beric is another option, although he would obviously be one for the future.
However, the most likely candidate is Lazio striker Sergio Floccari, who could be seen as a short-term solution given that he is now 32.
