Napoli line up Pepe Reina replacement

Serie A high-flyers Napoli have made Sporting CP goalkeeper Rui Patricio their number one target to replace Pepe Reina, A Bola can reveal.

The Spaniard will turn 36 next August and with his contract expiring at the end of the season, a summer exit seems likely.

Napoli officials, therefore, want to recruit a worthy replacement at the earliest opportunity and they seem ready to make a move on Rui Patricio.

While Real Sociedad shot-stopper Geronimo Rulli is also on their radar, the fact of the matter is that Man City have the first option on the player, which seriously complicates things.

Meanwhile. Rui Patricio should be available for some €20 million and seems like a very good option given his extensive experience in club and international football.
