Portuguese daily newspaper Record understands that Napoli and Liverpool are among clubs showing interest in Zenit defender Luis Neto.
The Azzurri appear to be hot on the trail of the 25-year-old footballer as Rafael Benitez plans to add a quality centre-back to his ranks in the summer.
Napoli officials have already opened talks with Zenit as well as the player’s representatives, which is enough to suggest they are in pole position.
Nevertheless, Record claims that Liverpool are also keeping close tabs on the Portugal international.
Zenit are expected to cash in on Neto if they complete the signing of Ezequeil Garay from Benfica, although the stopper will not be leaving on the cheap.
A return to Italy does appear to be on the cards, with the player previously enjoying six very successful months at Siena.
His suitors Napoli face Swansea away in Europa League Last 32 stage and they are 5/4 favourites to win at Liberty Stadium.
