Italian midfielder Sam Dalla Bona has been loaned by Serie A side Napoli to Greek first division club Iraklis Salonica for a year.

No financial details were released by Iraklis on the deal for the 28-year-old former Chelsea and AC Milan player.

“I know Iraklis well and I want to help the team. I know I have to give it everything to help myself and my team. This is another experience for me after England and Italy,” Bona said.

Bona joined Napoli in 2006. Before that he played for English club Chelsea from 1999 to 2002, and Serie A side AC Milan from 2002 to 2006.

He was loaned by AC Milan to Bologna, Lecce and Sampdoria.
