According to a recent report from Sky Italy, Napoli are willing to offer Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi a route out of the club. They are set to put forward a contract that is believed to be worth around £9 million per year, which they are hoping will ensure that he snubs Juventus and chooses to join them instead. Napoli are willing to pay a fee of around £55 million for the 26 year old in order to get the deal over the finish line, but it’s not yet known whether or not that is considered to be ‘enough’ in the eyes of Inter Milan.
The sale of Icardi is set to free up Inter to make a series of other interesting moves during the current transfer window, but given the stature of Juventus and the fact that they need another high level striker, it doesn’t seem like they’re going to give up without a fight.
