Ajax hotshot Davy Klaassen remains on the radar of Serie A giants Napoli, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Azzurri are looking at a number of players ahead of the January transfer window, but the Netherlands international remains high on their wish list.
Klaassen has already rejected a move to Stadio San Paolo in the past, but Napoli chiefs hope he will eventually change his mind.
The Azzurri have been impressed with the midfielder’s excellent performances this season that saw him score no fewer than 13 goals in just 25 competitive matches, and they seem keen to do business with Ajax.
Klaassen has so far resisted temptation to leave Amsterdam ArenA for greener pastures, but there will come a time when Eredivisie football will no longer cut it for him.
Napoli hope it will not take long for the 23-year-old to come to his senses, as they are eager to pair him up with Marek Hamsik in the middle of the park.
