Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has explained that he doesn’t want to break his star trio of forwards in the summer.
The attacking trio of Marek Hamsik, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Edinson Cavani, also known as the Three Tenors, has been synonymous with Napoli’s rise to prominence and the players are now followed by a number of high-profile sides.
Despite the growing interest in the players’ services, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis claims he has yet to receive a formal transfer offer.
“Lavezzi, Hamsik and Cavani? I cannot give them away and anyway, no-one has asked about them officially,” De Laurentiis told Radio Monte Carlo.
The movie mogul confirms that Inter and Paris Saint-Germain are showing interest in the star trio.
“The only one who has was Moratti, who a few years ago asked for Hamsik, but I told him we had just arrived in Serie A and I wanted to understand certain things before giving him a major player.
“At Paris Saint-Germain there is a coach who follows our players and this is great, but even if every day that there are newspapers and televisions discussing bids for Lavezzi, Hamsik and Cavani, I have not had any offers beyond that from Moratti.”
Napoli are enjoying a very good season this term, as they currently occupy fourth place in the Serie A standings and are set to meet Juventus in Coppa Italia final.
The Three Tenors have been in great scoring form this season, with Edinson Cavani scoring 18 Serie A goals, while Lavezzi and Hamsik bagged eight and seven respectively.
