Napoli have done some important business this summer, most notably by signing Hirving Lozano from PSV Eindhoven for 42 million euros, but now they have started looking at renewing the contract of some of the players that are currently at the club.
According to Corrierre dello Sport, one of those players is Arkadiusz Milik. Napoli have opened the contract talks with the Poland international, as they have been satisfied with the players performances in the past 12 months. Carlo Ancelotti’s side won 2-0 against Liverpool in their Champions League opener this week in Naples and now they want to make the most use of that.
Milik is 25 years old and is still not in the peak years of his career, for which Napoli want to tie him down. He scored 17 goals in Serie A during last campaign, which was his first real, full season in the team. After suffering a couple of big injuries, Milik seems to now be doing what he was signed for in 2016. His current deal expires in 2021.
