Manchester City full-back Micah Richards has been the subject of interest from Napoli, reports Tuttosport.
The 25-year-old is fed up with waiting for his chance at the Etihad and he is ready to quit the Citizens in the summer transfer window.
Given that his contract is due to expire in just over a year, it is highly unlikely the club will stand in his way.
Tuttosport understands that Napoli boss Rafael Benitez is interested in luring the former England international to Stadio San Paolo.
The Azzurri are in need of defensive reinforcements and the Spaniard believes Richards would be a good addition to the squad given that he can play at both right-back and centre-back.
The highly rated defender has been playing second fiddle to Pablo Zabaleta at Etihad, and has only made two Premier League appearances this season, although he did start a total of eight matches in other competitions.
