Il Mattino understands that Napoli are weighing up summer move for Genoa goalkeeper Mattia Perin.
The Italy international has been on the Azzurri radar for quite some time, as they see him as a great long-term successor to Pepe Reina.
Napoli look set to try and bring Perin to Stadio San Paolo in the summer transfer window, although the player’s knee injury could prove to be a problem.
The 24-year-old tore a knee ligament back in January and it is clear that he will not be playing any more football this season.
Napoli will probably wait for Perin to fully recover from said injury before they try and agree a deal with Genoa, but they are wary for the player’s injury record.
Namely, Perin had missed the Euro 2016 finals after rupturing an anterior cruciate ligament in his other knee, and the Azzurri want to be convinced that his injury nightmare is over.
