Udinese defender Silvan Widmer has once again emerged as a possible transfer target for Serie A outfit Napoli, Sky Sport Italia has learned.
Partenopei have been linked with the move for the 24-year-old Swiss international right-back in the past and the highly-rated defender is apparently back on the radar for the Italian heavyweights.
Silvan Widmer has been in fine form for Udinese this season, making 23 Serie A appearance during which time he provided 4 assists.
The Swiss defender has seen his stock go through steady rise over the past couple of years and his most recent performances have caught the eye of Europe’s top sides.
Juventus and Inter Milan have both expressed interest in Udinese defender last summer, whereas Barcelona and Bayern Munich were also casting admiring glances towards the Swiss international during winter.
Widmer is under contract with Udinese until 2020 and Napoli are hoping their positive business relationship with Udinese will help them wrap up the move once the summer transfer window opens.
