Napoli to return for Gonalons

Sky Sport Italia is reporting that Napoli are planning a summer assault on Lyon captain Maxime Gonalons.

The Azzurri were on the verge of signing the France international in the January transfer window, but the deal ultimately fell through, with the Serie A side signing Jorginho from Hellas Verona instead.

Nevertheless, Napoli boss Rafael Benitez is still determined to lure Gonalons to Stadio San Paolo and aim to do so in the summer transfer window.

With the player reportedly keen on a switch to Naples, the Azzurri are confident they can make things right in the summer and add the midfielder to their ranks.

Maxime Gonalons, 24, has spent his entire career up to date at Lyon, making 129 Ligue 1 appearances and scoring 5 goals.

Napoli host AC Milan in a high-profile clash in Serie A this evening, and Rafael Benitez’s side are priced at 1/1 to claim maximum points.
