Napoli set for heavy summer recruitment

Serie A giants Napoli are planning a major squad overhaul in the summer, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

The Azzurri had led the title chase in the league for large periods of the season, but two back to back setbacks saw holders Juventus emerge as the favourites to lift the coveted trophy.

As a result, Napoli aim to further reinforce their ranks in the summer, with quite a few footballers currently on their radar.

Bernd Leno, Mattia Perin and Sergio Rico are top targets to replace AC Milan bound Pepe Reina, whereas Sime Vrsaljko, Jeremy Toljan and Alejandro Grimaldo are the three defenders on the list.

As far as midfield area is concerned, Napoli are looking at Denis Suarez, Lucas Torreira and Pablo Bentancur, whereas Roberto Inglese and Federico Chiesa are also on their shortlist.
