Napoli are weighing up January move for Benfica defender Ezequiel Garay, according to Rai Sport.
It is no secret the Azzurri plan to sign a high-profile centre-back in the winter transfer window and they have been looking at a number of players.
However, Rai Sport has suggested that Argentine stopper Ezequiel Garay is the first name on their wish list.
The 27-year-old has been on the radar of top European clubs for a while now, and everything suggests he will be leaving the Eagles in the near future.
Garay has a contract until June 2015 at Estadio da Luz and a €20 million release clause, but Benfica will be earning just 50% of the next transfer fee as his former club Real Madrid are entitled to the other half.
The Eagles sit two points adrift of Primeira Liga leaders Sporting, and they can be backed at 11/8 for the league trophy.
