Napoli president has made it his personal mission to sign Fiorentina starlet Federico Chiesa this summer.
Having initially expressed their interest in the 19-year-old star winger earlier this summer, Partenopei were given a negative answer by Viola. With Borja Valero and Federico Bernardeschi already out of the club and Nikola Kalinic on the verge of leaving, Serie A side were reluctant to see another one of their high-profile players leave the club.
But the latest reports from the Italian newspaper La Nazione are suggesting that Napoli have stepped up their efforts and are willing to invest well over €30 million to grab the talented winger.
Fiorentina will, however, demand a transfer fee not lower than €40 million so if remains to be seen if an agreement could be reached.
Chiesa was one of the brightest sparks in Fiorentina’s underwhelming 2016/17 season.
The teenage sensations started 17 Serie A matches, scored 3 goals and made 2 assists across 27 overall performances.
