Serie A outfit Napoli are believed to be pushing forward on a deal for in-form Genoa striker Leonardo Pavoletti.
The Partenopei have been linked with the 28-year-old forward ever since their summer signing Arkadiusz Milik was ruled out with injury and La Gazzetta dello Sport is now reporting that Aurelio De Laurentis has sanctioned the deal for the Genoa star performer.
Pavoletti is on the sidelines himself as the Italy international is recovering from the sprain that is likely to keep him out of action until January, but it did not stop Napoli from submitting an official offer to his employers.
Napoli are willing to invest as much as €18 million for a player who is believed to have already set his heart on a move to the Serie A giants.
Pavoletti has made 10 Serie A appearances thus far, adding three league goals to his name in the process.
He also scored one goal in the Copa Italia this season.
