La Gazzetta dello Sport understands that Napoli are readying summer bid for Real Betis midfielder Dani Ceballos.
The Azzurri have been watching the 20-year-old on regular basis over the last few months and they seem to have decided to make their interest concrete.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli are ready to match a €12 million release clause in the player’s contract.
Dani Ceballos is widely regarded as club’s hottest prospect since Joaquin Sanchez, but it is fair to say he has failed to realise his full potential.
Nevertheless, Napoli apparently believe that he can develop into a high-quality footballer and they are ready to take the gamble in the summer transfer window.
Ceballos has raised his game of late and while he reportedly wants to remain at Estadio Benito Villamarin, a summer exit is a realistic possibility, and that is why the club are preparing a new deal for the player, hoping to increase said release clause.
