Gerard Deulofeu has been given a valuable lifeline by AC Milan this season as the Spanish winger moved to Italy on loan to resurrect his career after a frustrating start to the new season at Everton.
The 23-year-old has been deemed surplus to the requirements at Goodison and is not expected to remain an Everton player for too long with AC Milan thought to be exploring a possibility to make the loan deal permanent at the end of the season.
The Spanish media have reported that Barcelona are ready to exercise their €12 million buy-back option on the Spanish footballer, but Deulofeu will not stay at Camp Nou as the Catalans plan to sell him on for a profit possibly.
According to reports from Il Matino, Serie A hotshots Napoli are ready to challenge Rossoneri for the Spaniard’s signature as they look for possible replacements for Dries Mertens or Lorenzo Insigne.
Gerard Deulofeu managed two goals and three assists in 11 Serie A outings for AC Milan.
