Italian giants Napoli are on the verge of signing English midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah, Tuttosport has suggested.
The Azzurri are still in the market for defensive and midfield reinforcements and they appear to have agreed a deal for the Chelsea starlet.
Chalobah will join the Serie A side on a season-long loan and coach Maurizio Sarri will probably be delighted to get the player who can play in both defence and midfield.
The 20-year-old has largely impressed during loan spells with Watford, Nottingham, Middlesbrough and Reading, but he could not play himself in the first team plans of Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.
He is now set for another loan move, and a good season in Italian Serie A could improve his chances of securing regular playing time at Stamford Bridge.
Chalobah has long been an important member of England Under-21 side, and he is widely tipped to earn his first cap in the senior squad in the near future.
